Regional cake design finalist...

We were delighted to hear that Calum M in Year 11 was selected as regional finalist in the U18 category for their innovative cake designs to commemorate the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee. The awards were judged by 15 dignitaries including the Worshipful Master of Bakers. Calum's design featured the nations of the UK and it was felt to represent the late Queen's lifelong commitment to the union. Calum attended a ceremony in London and enjoyed a celebratory luncheon with their Commanding Officer from Rickmansworth and Watford Sea Cadets and families. They were presented with certificates and congratulations from high-ranking Sea Cadet commanders and the Ven Archdeacon of London, Luke Miller. The family have informed us that it was a wonderful and proud day.

Calum also took part in the Sea Cadet U16 London Western district 5 a side football tournament at RAF Northolt. Calum and his fellow TS Renown cadets returned home as district champions!  Calum was delighted to take part and really enjoyed the day despite the bitter cold!

Congratulations Calum we are very proud of your recent achievements, especially whilst preparing for your GCSE mock examinations.
