Surprise visit to St Clement Danes by Old Dane Jack Garratt

St Clement Danes Alumni are a successful lot - you can see just some of our alumni here. In April, Old Dane and Brit Award winner Jack Garratt paid a surprise visit, taking an hour out of his busy schedule to spend time in the music department reminiscing and chatting with Miss Stevens, Director of Music.  He seemed to enjoy revisiting his musical haunts, checking out the new instruments and learning about how the ‘Jack Hat’ is used as a motivational tool in music lessons. Students were quietly awestruck to have him interrupting their classes and there was an unusually high volume of traffic going backwards and forwards past the music office at break once word got around of his visit! He was interested to hear about plans for Croxley Danes, and pleased to hear that we plan to link the two schools musically from the start.

Please follow the link below to hear Miss Stevens' interview on BBC Three Counties Radio "Drivetime"  show with presenter Roberto Perrone on Wednesday 13th April. (Exact time of interview is at 1hour 53 minutes)
