Croxley Danes at District Youth Speaks Competition

A team from Croxley Danes took part in the Rotary Club's District Final of the Youth Speaks competition in Milton Keynes last night. Jack Watson (Chair), Finn Casselton (Speaker) and Ibtissem Taghrest (Vote of Thanks) competed against a number of schools from a wide area and acquitted themselves extremely well. Referencing their unique position as students able to influence the development of a brand new school, the team presented on the subject of how education ought to reflect the needs of 21st century children. The standard of competition was extremely high and, as some of the youngest competitors, our team were able to listen to and learn from experienced participants. Well done to them all and thank you to Mrs McLetchie-George and to the parents who went along to support.
