March Sports Fixtures

Year 7

At the beginning of March, we were delighted to host the U12 Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership indoor athletics event with 7 other schools attending. Huge congratulations to the girls for winning and qualifying for the county finals and well done to the boys who performed well and placed third. A special thanks to our year 9 young Sports Leaders who supported and helped throughout the tournament too.

Following the Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership indoor athletics event the year 7 girls’ indoor athletics team attended the Hertfordshire School Games County finals. There was some tough competition and unfortunately, we didn’t take home any medals, but the girls did really well and were great representatives of the school – a perfect demonstration of our school values.

A fantastic effort was shown by the Year 7 rugby team during their recent rugby tournament. There were lots of students playing the game competitively for the first time and we only lost one game overall.

Well done to our Year 7 netballers for winning the tournament held at Westfield Academy. Congratulations to Summer E, Clover P and Evelyn C who were awarded player of the match.

Year 8

Unfortunately, our Year 8 boys' basketball team lost to Rickmansworth School 38 - 14 but the team played well and great team work was evident throughout the match.

The Year 8 girls netball team worked incredibly hard given the freezing weather conditions they had to play in during the Year 8 netball tournament. They placed joint fourth. Well done to all of the players involved.

A fantastic display by the Year 8 rugby team who looked fantastic in the breakdown and some incredible tries were scored, but moreover we were impressed by the teamwork, attitude and leadership shown by these young students.

A massive well done to the Year 8 netball team who won both of their games against Westfield Academy (10-1) and The Grange Academy (11-3). Amazing play by all of the girls but a special commendation goes to River H who received player of the match.

Year 9

Well done to the U15 girls’ football team who won 4-2 against Queens School in their league game. Special congratulations to Amelia L who was awarded player of the match.

Congratulations to our Year 9 netball team who won against The Grange 9-1. Well done to Grace S who received player of the match.

Year 10

Congratulations to our year 10 netball team who won against Parmiters School 14-10. The netball team also placed 5th overall in the year 10 netball tournament. Well done to everyone who was involved in the tournament.

Well done to the year 10 boys’ football team who unfortunately lost in the district final 2-1 against The Grange Academy. We’re very proud of the team for their teamwork throughout the match. They were an asset to the school.

It was a tough loss for the Year 10 boys’ football team losing 4-3 in the County Cup Semi Final to St John Lawes School. The team should be very proud of themselves demonstrating our school values perfectly throughout the entire season.

Year 11

Well played to our Year 11 netball team tonight who unfortunately lost against Parmiters School but they played really well and came together in the last quarter for their last ever year 11 game at Croxley Danes. Congratulations to Frudy A for winning player of the match.

Congratulations to Noah P, who represented Croxley Danes superbly in the U18 Hertfordshire Golf Championship. Noah shot level par on the day, winning by 4 shots. A fantastic achievement given that he is only 16 and was competing amongst 58 others in the tournament.
