New Intake Evening

Last night was perhaps the most exciting moment of our school's journey so far when we welcomed our new students and their parents to the school for the first time as a group. As they began to arrive, students were told which form (and therefore House) they would be in to great excitement from all concerned.

After a short time in the Barbirolli Hall, the students met their tutors and were taken off to their new classrooms (pictured here) to meet the rest of their form. Mr Thompson then gave parents a little more information before they were able to visit various stands for Find My Kit, the coach company Mullanys and the SCD Parents' Association who were selling stationery to raise funds for the new Croxley Danes Parents' Association. The Danes Educational Trust's new SENCO was also in attendance. Afterwards, the parents were reunited with their children in the dining room where the school's caterers gave out samples of the food available and refreshments were served.

The feedback from the evening has been superb and we certainly felt our excitement was at least matched, and perhaps surpassed, by that of the students. We now can't wait to see them all again tomorrow for their taster day.
