Croxley Danes Staff Attend Public Sector Reception at 10 Downing Street

On Tuesday 1st July, Croxley Danes School was proud to be represented at a special Public Sector reception held in the gardens of 10 Downing Street. Mrs Graham and Miss Cook, joined by colleagues from our partner school Onslow St. Audrey's, attended the prestigious event alongside more than 200 public service workers from across the country.

The event, hosted by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, was organised to recognise and thank those working in the public sector, including members of the emergency services, armed forces, NHS, and the teaching profession. It was a chance to acknowledge the valuable contributions made by individuals across a wide range of public services.

Guests were welcomed through the iconic front door of Number 10 and had the rare opportunity to walk the historic hallway and descend the staircase made famous by the film Love Actually. The afternoon included speeches, light refreshments, and the chance to meet and connect with others working in public service.

It was a memorable occasion and a rare opportunity for staff to take part in a national event celebrating the dedication and impact of those working in public service. Representing the school at such a significant venue was a real privilege and a proud moment for the Croxley Danes community.
