Culture Day 2025
Croxley Danes School hosted another successful Culture Day last week, a day that brought the whole school community together to celebrate the rich diversity of backgrounds, traditions, and experiences that make Croxley Danes such a special place.
Students were invited to come dressed in outfits representing their culture, and the day kicked off with African drumming and an impressive Indian dance performance led by Amayra G in Year 7. This set the tone for a day filled with fun, joy, pride, and inclusion.
The highlight of the day was the lunchtime Culture Day Fair, where staff and students shared activities, food, and information about their heritage and cultures. Everyone also enjoyed a Culture Day playlist featuring music from around the world. Our henna volunteers were also in full force, offering traditional South Asian hand decorations to any student interested in experiencing this beautiful art form.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of Culture Day – from those who staffed and prepared stalls to those who provided food, dancing, and activities. It was truly a fabulous day, and we feel privileged to have had the opportunity to celebrate it with our students.
We are continually inspired by the commitment of our families, staff, and students to embracing the diverse cultures and communities within Croxley Danes. We look forward to building on this success in the next academic year as we formally document our work on Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, working towards the EqualiTeach Silver Award.
