Brianna C. showing her stripes in Korea...

We are delighted that Brianna. C has been selected to represent 1st Rickmansworth & Chorleywood in the World Scout Jamboree that is taking place in South Korea during the summer of 2023. The Jamboree is a cultural, skills and adventure festival and Brianna will be one of 3,240 young people that have been selected from the UK to join 50,000 young people taking part.

The World Scout Jamboree offers young people the chance to learn new skills that they can use in other aspects of their life as well as campaign for change on key world issues that matter to them. 

Between now and July 2023 Brianna will attend training camps and team building events preparing her for living on the hot and humid site in SaeManGeum, Korea. The photo of Brianna was taken last weekend when she went on her first training weekend with her unit.

The Korean hosts of the Jamboree have challenged participants to “Draw your Dream” and as part of their Jamboree journey Brianna will have the opportunity to discover new cultures and take part in activities focusing on the environment, skills development and global development issues.

We look forward supporting Brianna with her fundraising efforts over the next 18 months.
