22nd AprilY8 take part in Geography Competition
Danes Student Journalist, Yousuf Sayed, reports …
On 13th November 2018, Yousuf Sayed, Layla Munday, Freya Wass and Dhara Thacker took part in an Inter-School Geography Competition. Mrs Cox also accompanied us to the competition. It was held at Watford Grammar School for Girls.
The schools that took part in the competition were, Croxley Danes, Watford Grammar School for Girls, Dame Alice Owens, Westminster School, The Compton, and London City School.
There were quite a few rounds: anagrams, an alphabetical quiz, Italy quiz and an OS map analysis.
Croxley Danes were the only Year 8 group that were selected, which speaks highly of our school. We tried our hardest and learnt lots of new things. We did particularly well, considering we were the youngest school, and can’t wait to achieve greater things yet to come. Good job to everyone that took part!
