23rd MarchNeurodiversity Week 2026
Ethan and William, our Equalities Autism Ambassadors did another sterling job of representing and raising awareness of neurodiversity on Friday 20 March, when they led an assembly at their old primary school, Yorke Mead.
Miss Buckman, Yorke Mead’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities coordinator praised the students for their fantastic session which covered Autism and what it means to them. They also used video clips to give examples of Neurodiversity and what that might look like. They also shared with us examples of different books such as 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time' and 'Can you See Me?' both of which feature neurodiverse main characters.
Ethan finished the assembly with a performance of his Croxley’s Got Talent winning song of ‘Creep’ by the band Radiohead.
We are very proud of our students for their continued community awareness work.
