CDS Iftar 2026 Success

As we approach the festival of Eid Al Fitr and the end of Ramadan 2026, we are delighted to share with the Croxley Danes community a flavour of our third annual Iftar, held on Thursday 6th March. 

Over 120 students, staff and families joined us for a bring and share festive meal to celebrate the end of a day of fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. 

Huge thanks go to Wajeeha and Hajara, Inaya and Khadeeja, Islamic Society members who led this event and our decor sponsor The Party Souq, who generously donated all the decorations.

Mr Harris, our Headteacher, Mrs Khan, teacher in charge of the CDS Islamic Society and Mrs Richards, CDS Equalities Lead all spoke movingly about the importance of togetherness, unity and understanding, particularly in light of the distressing and ongoing conflict in Iran and the surrounding region. 

We were all reminded that the school community is a place where everyone truly belongs. 

We look forward to recruiting more families to support us with running our CDS Iftar 2027, so please watch this space and sign up to join the Iftar organising team, as this important annual event continues to go from strength to strength!
