Mr Murphy Named England U18 Men's Volleyball Head Coach!

We are incredibly proud to announce a significant achievement for our school community. Volleyball England has officially confirmed that our very own Head of PE, Mr Murphy, has been appointed the Head Coach for the England Under 18 Men’s Volleyball Team!

This prestigious role follows Mr. Murphy's recent completion of his FIVB Level 2 award, equipping him with an advanced international coaching qualification and underscoring his expertise. He will be expertly juggling this national responsibility alongside his continued role as Head of PE here at Croxley Danes School.

Mr Murphy will now look to implement his strategic vision with the U18 squad. Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I’m extremely proud and excited to take on the responsibility of England U18 Men’s Head Coach.” “I am committed to supporting our athletes to become more autonomous and adaptable, and to helping them build the confidence required to meet the demands of international volleyball.”

Known at Croxley Danes for his committed, supportive, and encouraging teaching methods, we are confident that the dedication and expertise Mr Murphy brings to our students will prove to be an invaluable asset to the England U18 men's team on the international stage.
