03rd NovemberMarking Remembrance Day
Croxley Danes School marked Remembrance Day this year with pride and deep respect, honouring the immense sacrifice and service of all those affected by conflict.
On Sunday, 9th November, Croxley Danes pupils took part in the annual Croxley Green Parish Council Remembrance Parade, a significant community event of shared commemoration. We are so proud of pupils Pranav, Samaria, Kiko, Maximilian, Isabella, Caitlin, Don and Neve for representing the school so brilliantly at the parade. A special mention goes to Neve in Year 9 who read the poem 'In Retrospect' by Simon Armitage at the Memorial in front of all the assembled attendees; her delivery was excellent.
Remembrance was further marked at school today with dedicated Assemblies for all year groups followed by our cadet group pupils culminating at the front of the school to observe the two-minute silence.
Today marked a valuable moment of collective reflection for the whole school community, acknowledging the service and sacrifice of all those affected by conflict.
Lest we forget.
