Croxley Danes Equalities Ambassadors spread Autism Awareness at local school

This morning, William in Year 10 and Ethan in Year 8 gave an Autism Awareness Assembly at Chater Junior School, talking about what Autism means as well as raising the differing portrayals of autistic characters in the books ‘The Curious Incident of The Dog in Night Time’ and ‘Can you See Me?’.

Ms Batliwala, Deputy Head teacher at Chater Junior School was so impressed with our pupils, saying -
'William and Ethan spoke with such passion and character. They answered the children's questions about autism in such an expert, evidence-informed way. They continuously referred to their own real life experiences and every single member of staff and child in our assembly was gripped and moved. This was such a successful and positive assembly. What a way to start our week!'

Well done William and Ethan, you are an assett to our school and we are very proud of you!
