This past month we initially trialled and then successfully rolled-out virtual lessons to all our students. All the lessons were timetabled and followed the structure of the school day and sent to the relevant tutor groups at the start of the month. Our Assistant Headteacher, Mrs Brewer, was instrumental on leading this development and ensuring its success.
The students were issued video guides and a code of conduct in preparation for their first virtual lesson. The lessons were all recorded in order to safeguard participants and also support any students who might be unable to attend.
Mr Thompson, Headteacher, said “I am so impressed by how our students conducted themselves during their virtual lessons and also huge thanks go to the teaching staff in quickly adapting to this new platform. This had been a great opportunity to enhance the students’ remote learning experience.”
