Year 7 Geography walks on the common

Year 7 had an eventful week exploring Croxley Common Moor and the Ebury Way during their Geography lessons this month. Five out of six classes having been so far and the final class are due to take part this week. The walk gave the students an opportunity to practice their map skills including 6 figure grid references and compass directions. It also enabled them to explore the physical and human geography of our local area.

The students had a thoroughly insightful time, bringing the theory from the classroom to life. Mrs Cox, Humanities Faculty Co-ordinator, stated “It was wonderful to see the students in their element and enjoying their lessons in a fun and practical manner!”
