28th AprilDiving Deep into Leadership: Year 9, 10 and 12 Students Meet the ‘Human Polar Bear
On Tuesday 28th April we were honoured to welcome the ‘Human Polar Bear’ himself, Lewis Pugh, to speak with our Year 9, 10, and 12 students.
As a UN Patron of the Oceans, Lewis didn't just share stories of his record-breaking swims across the North Pole and the Red Sea; he challenged our students to think deeply about the world they are inheriting.
Through his firsthand accounts of the changing environment, he brought the urgency of ocean conservation to life, reminding us all that we each have a role to play in safeguarding our planet’s future. Beyond the water, his journey is a masterclass in resilience—demonstrating that with enough grit, the right mindset, and a refusal to accept "impossible" as an answer, we can overcome the most extreme challenges.
Our students left the hall not just inspired by his endurance, but empowered to lead with purpose and courage in their own lives. A massive thank you to Lewis for helping us see that we are all capable of making a significant impact.
