Biology Photography Competition

This month saw students and staff submit their entries for a Biology Photography Competition run by Mrs Perry. Following the theme of ‘urban nature’, the brief was to take photos that included nature and life against the backdrop of the town or city.

There were many excellent and imaginative submissions with the winning entries chosen because, not only were the photos beautiful in their own right, they also showed the wonder of nature and how wildlife and plants interact with the modern world.

The winners from each year group were Thomas B (Year 7), Charlotte C (Year 8), Daniel H (Year 9), Roksana M (Year 10) and Kasumi F (Year 11) who all won a certificate, merit and chocolate. The overall runners up were Daniel H and Kasumi F who also won £10 Amazon vouchers and the overall winner was Thomas B who won a £20 Amazon voucher for his fantastic action shot of seagulls at the funfair. Well done to all who took part.
