a two-school setting which also provides the first-rate training of a Teaching School has to be one of the most exciting prospects in the South East of England
Staff joining us are employed by the Danes Educational Trust, a family of schools which includes St Clement Danes and Croxley Danes Schools. St Clement Danes was designated a National Teaching School by the National College for Teaching and Leadership in 2013. It leads the Herts & Bucks Teaching School Alliance, a group of educational organisations in the South of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire who collaborate to promote exceptional standards of education. This prestigious role sets it at the cutting edge of developments in teaching and learning and facilitates a close working relationship with the Department for Education. It also ensures that staff across the Multi-Academy Trust have access to superb training opportunities to enable them to develop as practitioners, whatever their field. It is no accident that St Clement Danes' staff retention figures are so healthy, nor that so many of its leadership roles are filled from current staff or those who choose to return to the school.
Both Croxley Danes and St Clement Danes are near the M25 and rail links into London, but situated close to beautiful countryside on the edge of the Chilterns. They both attract London Fringe weighting, meaning that staff earn more at our schools than they would at neighbouring schools in Buckinghamshire.
For teachers looking for their first school, or one in which to grow their careers, a two-school setting which also provides the first-rate training of a Teaching School has to be one of the most exciting prospects in the South East of England.
