St Clement Danes School
St. Clement Danes is an exciting, supportive, vibrant school. When it comes to academic achievement, its goal is nothing short of excellence. Building on its distinguished heritage and traditional values, a progressive approach to delivering the curriculum has seen St Clement Danes achieve some of the best results in the country. This was validated by Ofsted in 2011; the school was judged ‘Outstanding’ overall and in every aspect of school life. This is an endorsement of all that is done at St Clement Danes and an accolade held by very few secondary schools.
At St Clement Danes, the belief is that every child deserves the best: the highest quality learning and care, and a culture that embraces tolerance and trust. The aim, quite simply, is to enable every one of its students to grow into responsible and fulfilled adults with the skills, qualifications and confidence to shape their futures.
Beyond academic achievement, time is taken to build a genuine partnership between family and school, built on mutual trust and open communication. The Good Schools Guide called St Clement Danes students ‘articulate, confident, curious and happy’. They not only achieve highly, they also benefit from first-class facilities and an unrivalled range of extra-curricular activities which develop confidence and skills for lifelong learning beyond the classroom. The school is committed to ensuring that the talents of all students are recognised and encouraged.
St Clement Danes School was approached by Hertfordshire County Council in 2013 to set up a new secondary school for the local area in Croxley Green. In 2014 the school submitted to the Department of Education an application to open in Croxley Danes School. It was an honour to be asked to lead such an undertaking and it was a resounding validation of St Clement Danes’ sustained excellence and willingness to collaborate. Croxley Danes School and St Clement Danes school will be permanently linked as sister schools within the Danes Educational Trust.
