School closed, Friday 2nd March
It is with regret that we have to let you know that the school will, unfortunately, be closed again on Friday 2nd March.
St Clement Danes have had to take the difficult decision to close the school. The caretaking staff, in challenging conditions, have been working on the site all day, but snow is already covering the areas they have cleared and/or gritted and therefore the site remains extremely hazardous. The bus companies which serve St Clement Danes School have told them that they do not expect to be running a number of their services in the morning because the roads are too dangerous. With the forecast, although changeable, not looking promising, they have decided to make a decision now in order to give parents as much time as possible to make necessary arrangements.
Apologies, again, for the inconvenience we know the school closure may cause. Looking at the forecast, we fully expect to be open as usual on Monday.
The production of Grease will not now go ahead on Thursday or Friday evening. Those with tickets for either night will be welcome at an extra performance on Monday.
