Creative Arts Evening

From Annie to the Star Wars Theme to a vodka drinking Russian, last night's Creative Arts Evening had it all! Half of the school's population was represented, either in the display of art in the gym or in the wide variety of musical and dramatic performances which entertained a capacity audience in the drama hall. All of those taking part were a credit to themselves, many of them performing in front of an audience for the first time in their lives. As Mr Thompson said at the end, the students at the school are soon going to set the standards for a new group of Year 7s and we couldn't hope for a better group of role models to perform this task. Many thanks to Mr Butterfield for organising the evening and to all the drama and art teachers for their work in preparing the students for the event. Mention should also be made of the numerous St Clement Danes students from Year 9 and above who helped behind the scenes with sound, lighting, choreography and even a cameo performance as Miss Hannigan. Finally, a huge thank you to the Parents' Association who provided refreshments to raise money for the school. Well done to everyone for a spectacular evening's entertainment.
