Cycling fundraising event in dedication of Millie Taylor

On 4th-5th June a bike ride took place in memory of a wonderful and courageous student, Millie Taylor who attended Croxley Danes School. Unfortunately, Millie passed away in December 2021, aged 13. Millie fought bravely against Cancer after her diagnosis. She always loved sports and continued to participate in sports, games and activities throughout her illness. The group that took on the challenge of cycling 115miles of rough, bump canal path included Millie’s Dad, Uncle, Cousins, Dads of Millie’s classmates and family friends. The cycle ride started from Birmingham and finished in Watford, along the Grand Union Canal, over two days.

We would like to thank our students who took part in the bike ride: Jasmine, Alexandra, Anya and Dylan who were good friends of Millie and they did a fantastic job of riding the final 15 miles of the ride with the rest of the group.

The family would like to thank the school community for their considerable donations to Millie’s fundraising page. To date, including gift aid, close to £13,000 in total has been raised for Cancer Research. If you would like to donate in Millie’s memory please click on the link below.
