Maths Challenge

On 25^th January the top 10 maths candidates from each Year 7 form took part in the challenge alongside the top set Year 8 maths students. This challenge was in celebration of the UK Mathematics Trust's 25^th Anniversary. A selection of 25 questions taken from their exhaustive 25-year archive were used to collectively challenge Year 7 and Year 8 students within a timed limit of 45 minutes. The reward on this occasion was principally participation with the added bonus of healthy competition between the year groups. Future UKMT challenges are national affairs where successful candidates progress to advanced stages.
