Secondary Transfer Open Day 2021

On Saturday 18th September Croxley Danes opened its doors to local year 6 students. The Open Morning for Secondary Transfer in 2022 was a roaring success. We have been inundated with positive feedback about our students and their conduct, which just goes to prove that they truly are our best ambassadors. Take a read below of just some of the highlights...

“I had the loveliest experience coming to visit the school, all the children and staff had put such an effort into the day. I particularly wanted to contact you with regards to the two boys who escorted us around the school. Both boys were so impressive, they gave us such a thorough and detailed tour and had nothing but positive comments about the school as well as answers to all our questions. They were impeccably polite and courteous, not only to me but also to my Yr6 son. My son is particularly nervous about the secondary transfer as he will likely be attending a school where he will not know anyone, but they were so lovely and engaging with him that he is now excited about the prospect”

“Just wanted to say how impressed we were with the school and the time and effort that clearly went into the Open Morning. The students and staff were fantastic ambassadors. Aside from the amazing facilities, the morning meant that the school felt alive. We had a lovely tour guide who was very patient with us as we spent far too long in each department.”

“Such a lovely morning at Croxley Danes today! Thank you for all the work that will have gone in in the background to make it happen. The pupils were fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful and very proud of their school.”

“I wanted to say how impressed I was with the organization of the event. The guides that showed us around were brilliant and very informed and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The best part for me was when we went into the music room and the students were jamming and when they stopped for a breather, I asked if they could play sex on fire by Kings of Leon for my son (who is 4 and has Down’s syndrome) as that’s his favourite track and the students without any prep, especially the main guitarist, just went straight in and didn’t miss a single key and they played for at least 7-8 mins for my little boy who was so chuffed that he was hearing the track ‘live’. So, please thank the musicians as they made the day super special for us.”
