25th AprilCDS Virtual Christmas Concert 2020
The Music Department have produced a fabulous Virtual Christmas Concert for the enjoyment of the Croxley Danes community which is available to watch on the CDS youtube channel from 7:00pm on Tuesday 15th December. The concert showcases the vast array of musical talent in the school including a rock band, soloists from across the year groups and a composition from one of our Year 10 GCSE Music students.
The concert finishes with the Virtual Choir, made up of over 20 voices, each of whom recorded their part to a backing track that was sent out to all choir members. On return of the recordings, Mr Evans, Subject Lead of Music, combined the vocals together to form a choir, with some surprise voices towards the end!
Mr Evans extends his thanks to Ms Elliott for directing the Drama performance, Miss Northridge for collating the artwork and creating the video backdrop for the choir, and to Mrs Haacke for loaning her Christmas decorations. Finally, not forgetting our gifted students, without whom this concert could not have happened; your talent is a joy to behold.
