Croxley Danes Students Raise Money for the Homeless

We are very proud of our Year 9 and Year 7 students, Erin and Ryan, who took part in the Herts Young Homeless (HYH) sleepout at home event this month. The two students pitched a tent in their garden and slept rough for the night. They said, “It was cold, dark and a little scary but we felt it was really important to experience what it would feel like to be homeless, even for just one night.”

HYH is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable people in Hertfordshire since 1998. Their experts work closely with Hertforshire County Council, local district councils and other agencies to improve local provision and prevent youth homelessness.

Erin and Ryan have so far raised nearly £250 for this worthwhile cause, an amazing effort and achievement, well done!
