Celebrating ‘Earth Day’ at Croxley Danes School

Wednesday 22nd April was the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

The Humanities Faculty at Croxley Danes School marked the occasion by encouraging staff and students to share their pictures of environmental actions they had taken. Before the school closures took place our Environment Group at Croxley Danes School put together the following list of environmental actions that could be done from home.

Earth day 6

We were able to share a wide range of pictures through our @cdshumanities twitter account during the day, please do take a look at some of the delightful pictures that were shared, this included lots of garden-based food growing and home cooking!

The first Earth Day was held in 1970 and the movement’s mission ever since has been to drive positive change for the people and the planet, highlighting environmental issues to a global stage. More information on the organisation can be found at https://www.earthday.org/.
