School Choir Gives Outstanding Performances

We are delighted with the wonderful efforts of our school Choir, who have put on some outstanding shows within the local community and will also be showcasing their talents at the school concert later this month.

The Choir sang beautifully, amongst other local school choirs and theatre groups, at the Rickmansworth Winter Fair which took place last week. There were 35 students in total and they sang classic Christmas songs including; Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Silent Night. Mr Evans, music teacher at the school, accompanied the choir on his guitar and commented “I’m very proud of how the students performed, their singing really drew in a crowd and they represented the school fantastically! I’m very much looking forward to our performance at Croxley House Care Home later this month and the Croxley Danes Christmas Concert".

In spite of the cold weather, spirits were high with the Choir warming up the festivities for all those who attended.

The choir is next due to attend Croxley House Care Home on Monday 9th December which cares for local elderly residents and those suffering from Dementia. There will be approximately 30 students performing across year groups 7, 8 and 9 with classic festive songs for the residents such as Deck the Halls and Jingle Bell Rock. It really is an engaging way for the students to interact with their local community.

The Choir will also be performing at our annual school Christmas Concert which is on Tuesday 17th December at 7pm. Please ensure you come along to support and enjoy these festivities!
