25th AprilNew Design & Technology Room Open
We are delighted to announce the opening of our brand new Design and Technology rooms after their summer refurbishment. Most of the students have had a taster of the new Product Design and Graphics Technology room along with the new state of the art CADCAM equipment such as a 3D printer and a plotter cutter. There are already lots of examples of products that have been placed within the room to inspire and engage the students’ design creativity.
Dr Bower, head of Design and Technology stated, “I am very excited to be part of Croxley Danes School. Here the students will be able to use our fabulous new facilities and equipment to inspire their creativity and to develop their technical knowledge and practical skills. I am sure some will become the Engineers and Designers of the future and others will gain valuable life skills”.
On Monday 16th September the new Food Technology and Textiles room also came on-line and over the course of the next two terms the students will use both rooms as they undertake modules of study in Food Technology, Textiles, Product Design and Graphics.
