16th AprilPoppy wins design competition
Congratulations to Poppy Hickling (7M) who recently won a competition run by charity Plan International UK. The competition was to design a paper aeroplane representing the UK arm of the charity which will be displayed in the German Head Office and, over the summer, made into a ceramic model which will be sold world-wide to raise funds.
Plan is an international development charity dedicated to giving every child every chance. It runs a variety of programmes across the world to improve outcomes for children. These include providing education on such issues as reproductive health and rights as well as programmes for water sanitation and health. Alongside this, it also provides community support and resilience work as well as disaster relief when needed.
